Corbett Barklie

Corbett has over 16 years of experience working with theaters in Southern California and across the nation. For the past seven years, she has operated her own consulting business specializing in theater management, development, fundraising, strategic planning and Board development. Prior to starting her own practice, she was the Deputy Director of Development for Center Theatre Group and the founding Executive Director of Loretta Theatre, an organization developed in conjunction with Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Beth Henley, Amy Madigan and James Gammon. She was the Executive Director of ARTS Inc. in the mid-90s during which time she worked with the National Endowment for the Arts in their Challenge & Advancement Program assessing and consulting with over 150 theaters nation-wide throughout her three-year tenure. She is a frequent panelist and speaker on matters concerning the arts community, and is currently working with the Los Angeles Redevelopment Agency, Hollywood Arts Retention Project. Originally an actress, Corbett studied acting in the Cal State Fullerton Theatre Program and holds a Post Graduate Certificate from Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
