Paul Backer has acted in numerous professional theatre, film, television and voice-over roles, and has directed over 45 plays, in addition to working many jobs in motion picture/television production. Mr. Backer has a B.A. from UCLA, an M.A. from California State University, Northridge, and is in progress toward a Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine. He is a Master Teacher in Fitzmaurice Voiceworks. He has taught at University of California, Santa Barbara, California State University, Northridge, PCPA Santa Maria, Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, Glendale College, and Santa Monica College, and for many years has been the artistic director of the Ojai Shakespeare Festival. Paul Backer teaches courses in Voice, Acting, Theatre History and Literature.
