Stacie Chaiken has performed on and off-Broadway, in theatres in Los Angeles, and throughout the US and internationally, as well as in film and television. Her solo plays include Looking for Louie, Sifting Thru Ashes, and State of the Art.  In addition to teaching Acting and Solo performance at USC, Chaiken has a recurring appointment as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in the Theatre Department of Tel Aviv University, where she teaches annual Master Classes in Solo Performance and American texts. She has been a Visiting Lecturer in Solo Autobiographical Performance at New York University, and was on the performance faculties of Circle Repertory Theatre School in New York City and the Conservatory of South Coast Repertory Company in Costa Mesa. She has a Masters in Theatre from the University of California, Berkeley, and BA (Theatre/Religion) from the University of Minnesota.   In 2001, she founded the Home Project, an investigation of immigrant experience through story. She has received grants from the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department, the California Arts Council, the USC Arts Initiative, the Durfee Foundation, and the Fulbright Foundation. She is an Affiliate Artist of the Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity.
