Paula Cizmar is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter whose work has been produced off-Broadway, in London and in regional theatres from Maine to California. Among her many plays are Candy & Shelley Go to the Desert, Street Stories, Still Life With Parrot & Monkey, The Death of a Miner, and Love Song for the Woman Whose Child Shot My Son. She is a staff writer on the PBS series American Family, starring Edward James Olmos. Her numerous awards include an NEA Grant, a Jerome Foundation commission, and a Rockefeller Foundation residency in Italy.
