Joey Letteri Joey Letteri is a Los Angeles based choreographer/dancer/teacher who is currently serving on the Dance Faculty for The USC School of Theatre where he teaches Rhythm Tap for the program there. He has taught all styles of Dance for USC and choreographed West Side Story under the direction of Dennis Cornell at the Bing Theatre. Joey has choreographed numerous live dance and theater productions and has performed both locally and nationally in video, on stage and in Japanese Television. Mr. Letteri has served, in past, on the Dance and Theater Faculties of 4 colleges, taught and judged for National Dance Competitions, and was the head of a dance program for competitive gymnasts while also coaching and choreographing floor routines for competition. He has also served as a coach for the Athletics Dept. at USC for the USC Songleaders. As a Judge and Auditioner for the Gifted/Talented programs for LAUSD, Joey identified gifted children in the art of dance for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He has studied all forms of dance with many of the master teachers. Among them, and most notably are Gregory Hines, Honi Coles, Leon Collins (of Harvard University) Eddie Brown, Hinton Battle and many others. In addition to teaching Rhythm Tap at USC, Mr. Letteri is the Artistic Director/Choreographer of Taps’ Happenin’! (A Los Angeles based Tap Co.) And has served as Audience Development Director for Rhapsody In Taps Dance Co. for 3 years. He also works as a personal fitness trainer, coaching models and actors, while he continues to pursue his own career as a Commercial Artist.Joey is currently negotiating a contract to choreograph a Los Angeles run of the stage show “Dreamgirls” directed by Les Weider as his next upcoming project.
